Any Hip-Hop music or independent film lovers in here?

There's a new independent hip-hop documentary that just came out called Down Here NTZ-601. The documentary is based around a town called Natchez, Mississippi and portrays their story as well as what they're doing to overcome their obstacles.

The project was produced independently, and the DVD comes with a Compilation album featuring music from the local artists.

I helped with the production of the film as well as the marketing and design for the website and dvd packaging.

 

That's cool. So how are you planning on marketing it and getting it out?

I've worked on 4 indie films.

 

I'm a huge fan of hip hop, this seems like a great documentary.

 

We've done a lot of word-of-mouth promotion, flyer handouts, and get a lot of type-in traffic to the website. We've also done some video promotion, social network marketing, and plan on printing ads in hip hop magazines in the future. We might even enter it into some film festivals later on.

i use to watch hip hop movies, I love the gangster thing..but with this movie i haven't heard of it..so i guess i should watch it...thanks for informing..

 

Yeah you should be able to get into some festivals with the subject matter you have.
