Any guesses on when I will make a sale?

I just launched a new CJ Bans site yesterday.

The first person who replys to this post with the correct date of my first sale I will send them $10.00 or the commission amount (whichever is greater) via PayPal.

My guess is November 15.

Have you done any promotion yet? I would monitor your traffic and Adsense and make sure the Adsense doesn't work against you. When I got rid of Adsense my CTR on the CJ links went up. Also I would suggest writing a few content pages to put on the site, and on your individual store pages put a paragraph or two of content and maybe embed a video.

 

I am running a ppc campaign with a budget of $15/day. I am going to try to add a new content page each day this coming week.

Anyone else care to guess?

 

I think you would make a sale much quicker if you use your own colors etc, make it stand out more and make it feel like a shop.

You have major "leakage" on the site in the form of google adsense. That can definitely hurt your sales.

 

Revenue is revenue in my opinion.

 

$2.00 or less for a click (more likely $.90 or less), or potentially making more from ebay revenue? If the customer goes to your site then clicks on a google adense ad instead of searching for something else on your site it's revenue loss.

 

I have learned to stop chasing the "what if" potential especially with affiliate marketing. That is one great thing about PPC you get something no matter what. As for affiliate links you still have to convert that click to a sale. Yes the rewards can be good but sometimes you just have to take what you can get.

I think it all evens out in the end. Just my opinion.
