As much as it sucks I really recommend you to get notepad ++ and open up a few CSS tutorials. Learn by trial and error and eventually you will get the hang of it. In 1-2 days you will be able to do a a basic page and give it a week of learning and you will be able to do 95% of what is possible.

It's not that bad, and you will be way more knowledgeable then if you use a WYSIWYG. Even though there are no really good ones, except maybe dreamweaver but even then the code will be jumbled.

    I agree 100%!

In the long run you will gain more control over your designs, and if something ever goes wrong, most of the time you will be able to pinpoint the problem with ease.

Also, as Wrighteq mentioned, your code will be a lot leaner and cleaner. Search engines love clean code by the way. ;)

Nvu is a free HTML editor with and it does work with CSS - it is what I use.
It's big issue is that it is absolutely horrible at handling the file locations :(
You will still need a tutorial, especially for advanced stuff.
    Have fun.
    Cheers

    Wrighteq,

Can I ask why you say the code will be jumbled in Dreamweaver? I thought it had pretty good handling of CSS?

I can see the benefit of learning by using Notepad to do it by hand, but I guess a lot of people want something easier.

    Oh, not this ****otry again.

The only thing you can learn from a WYSIWYG is how NOT to design a website - ****, is it REALLY that hard to hit alt-tab, F5?!?

... and another ****** thread necro - what do we have some spamtard bouncing old threads to get their post count up?!?
