Any Good Software for logo designing ?

    I agree that if you plan doing "logos" on any type of professional level, stick with a vector program.

    For a cheap alternative to Illustrator, have a look at Xara Designer, very fast, small learning curve, good layering, print ready, exports to many formats, etc...

    The only free "vector" alternative I know of is inkscape as mentioned already.

    As with anything, find a tool that is good and master it. Example - search "pixelgod" on youtube, what this person does with mspaint is unreal.

    With the use of a few tutorials, and a few new brushes etc, I would recommend Photoshop to anyone, and if you don't want to shell out for Photoshop, GIMP is a very popular alternative

    Photoshop should not be used for logo design. It is a rastor based program and vector, (mechanical), should be used for logo creation. Use Illustrator and you won't regret it when the client asks for endless alterations. If you use Photoshop, you'll end up in a nightmare of a job making changes.
