I am currently using blogpatrol and it sucks coz 90% of the time their database is down. I am so pissed with them now that i have to go out and look for a better one. I know i can get many such alternatives but DP members can give me some suggestions? I already have analytics account but i want to see immediate results. analytics updates after 30 mins or so?
Don't become a statistics addict. It's no use. Checking about once a week really ought to be enough. You need a host that gives good stats, or at least gives you access to logs. The logs you can analyze with a logs-analytics program. I've only used the free version of 'weblog expert lite'. It's alright. Perhaps other people have other suggestions?
Thanks everyone am checking both the sites.. @Kh7, i am running a blogspot blog so cant expect a log etc.
Well, you should get a professional hosting account ASAP, if you are serious about websites. For instance, if you are link-building now, you are building links to somebody elses domain. When you do get to the point where you want your own domain, you will have to start over.
It can take upto 24 hours but the data is worth waiting for. Awstats has quick stats but not as detailed as GAnalytics.
Try histats.com, completly free, flash charts and invisible counter. I use G analitycs for deeper analisys and histats for instant stats...
I would recommend google analytics as its worth waiting then wasting your time to figure out the unique visitors. Analytics provide a better tracking environment like bar graphs, pie charts, visitor geographical tracking, keyword suggestions based on your site stats and many more features!!
