Any good databases like access?

Can you recommend anything for a friend of mine? I personally use XL but he does not like it for some reason. MS access is perfect but a bit too expensive. Any ideas?

OpenOffice has one called OpenOffice Base, it's pretty much the same as access, with all the usual functions :)

As far as I can see on the openoffice download page there is no option for seperate downloads of the different softwares. Mind you, it's definately a collection worth having :)

that's why you use phpmyadmin, it provide a GUI for you to modify data.

or u can use mysql's own tool, MySQL Query Browser 1.2, works almost the same as access:D
