i normally send press releases to various press release sites available for free. I posted my press release in prurgent and mine showed up included in google news. Any good being shown up in google news in terms of traffic/exposure? please share your views.
I have my press release show up in the Google News but not much traffic was generated from there.. but i think it depends on the search terms eventually..
Google news is a great source of traffic, I personally create rss alerts for many topics and visit the sites that show up on google news, this also means that your site is being crawled, if you update your site regularly it will index more and more sites, this means more traffic for you!
We get some quick traffic from Google News when we post. Usually, within 30 minutes our item is in the SERP. Granted it's not thousands of visitors, but its a few hundred.
Yes, you can get great quality traffic from Google News, most if the time, you will notice exactly when your press release comes up in the news because your traffic wil increase significantly.
i used google news but actually didn't notice a big increase in my traffic .. i guess it really depends on the kind of news you're writing
