Any free spam proof forum script i can use?

    So i had a few forums i used some free scripts, my traffic was good and had a few active users (like 80-100) in its first 2 months.

    However it become over spammed with bots auto posting... i had a captcha but it still didn't stop the spam.

    so im asking what method or spam proof script i can use to stop this?

    it has to be free

    if it has to free then two reliable forum scripts are phpBB and MyBB.
    I'd suggest MyBB as its customization is easy and spam prevention plugins are available for it.

    Vbulletin is probably the most spam-resistant software currently available.

    If you're looking for a completely spam-proof option, you won't find one I'm afraid.
