hello i want to start an eshop, selling shoes and tshirts.
actually, my sales will be done thought facebook, and the purpose i want the eshop, is to have something like an online thing that shows the current availability in my products.
so at any moment, my customers, will watch online what i have available for sale.

in this case, i don't want to spend money doing my online store. i have a registered tk domain, and i am looking for a free ecommerce solution.

maybe if i find something good, i will pay up to 100 usd, no more i can afford.
so solutions like shopify, iisn't for my budget.

    any ideas?

    WordPress with WooCommerce
    Magento Open Source Free

Free Trials with any of the major eCommerce platforms:
    Shopify
    3dcart
    Bigcommerce

Amazon will take 15% of your sales. eBay is losing its strength due to Google's control over the consumer market and the fact the eBay is dropping Top Seller Ratings a lot now

Makes me laugh when people want to earn money but not pay for the things they value.

A .tk domain will drive potential customers away - they know it's a junk domain and that any company using one is likely to take their money and run.

@Anthony Capetola's list is good but add in wordpress with wp-ecommerce. However all those costs pale into insignificance alongside merchant fees for visa and mastercard.

I can't remember the last time I visited a .tk website, and I am sure that it was something I left immediately. You can get a cheap domain with a coupon, sometimes as low as $0.99 - and there are even free web hosts that give you a cPanel with a one-click WordPress installation. Really, you can get set-up for about $50 if you know what you're doing, maybe even less.

I would use WordPress/WooCommerce to set up the site, but there are many free platforms to set up an online store.

You can buy domains with 1.99$ / year / first year only from Godaddy with coupons.
.tk is totally unprofessional for a business.

WooCommerce is considered to be one of the best WordPress shopping cart plugins, if not the best. It combines a whole range of built-in features with the ability to use many useful extensions and it's free.

You will need to pay for hosting and a new domain name. I don't believe there is any way around this but some things are worth paying for.

Myself I'm a huge fan of zencart. It's free. Your looking at less than $35 bux total spent.

    A decent .com domain - $10 bux
A crappy but reliable hostgator server - $3.96
Virtual cc processor if you want to accept cc's - $19.99

There's no way to get the store you want without spending any money. You'll have to spend some money on at least on the domain and hosting, plus the upgrades as you get to them. what you want can be done, but it'll take a fair amount of work.

op. Lets get serious. .tk is a bad idea. Anyone wanting to start a business with this domain is in for a rough ride.

When you start a business you want to look good, and trustworthy. You will need to consider using a professional domain name. If you cant find a good .com, find a reasonable alternative in another TLD. Domains cost $10-$25 for most options.

Next thing is you will need some sort of logo for your software. If you cant use GIMP, or photoshop, you might have to pay $10-$25 for someone else to make this.

There are free scripts available, I havent used any in ages, but here is a link to a great resource with 15 free ecommerce scripts that you can look over:
    http://www.webappers.com/2010/07/09/15-best-free-open-source-ecommerce-platforms/

To be honest, you might think that you have a great marketing idea, and all this hubub. But here is a better idea. Become an affiliate for someone else, try to sell their product. If you cannot sell the product of an established, and reputable company with your marketing techniques, then you have no hope in hell in marketing your own products. Becoming an affiliate is free, and you can earn some big commissions. So why dont you try this first, and *if* you start making some money, then use this to launch your own site. Once you launch your own site, you can still profit from affiliate marketing.

For example, you plan to sell shoes and t-shirts, become an affiliate for socks, jackets, lingerie, and have ads for mens watches in the mens section, and womens watches in the womens section...

I know you cannot use wordpress flatform as the cost for hosting and Domain, so I recomment using a BLOGSPOT free service and Use an FREE e commerce paypal function, there are many free blogspot template , do a search " free ecommerce blogger theme", you will find lots of theme easy to customize and sell stuff receiving money through Paypal account instantly.
About the Domain, you should buy cheap domain on Godaddy witj Coupon, just 2-3 usd for the first year, the business goes well, you have lots of fund to renew the domain.

Wordpress and magento community are the only free ecommerce platform. But you must have a hosting. Magento need high level hosting for it's extensive script load (it has many functionalities) like VPS or Dedicated server. So it is not ideal for you.

I think with $3.50/month you'll get a normal hosting and you'll able to run wordpress with woocommerce smoothly. If you'll need more speed use cloudflare CDN.
