I can't seems to find a free web host with cpanel and instant activation, does anyone know one? need to get my site up in the next 24 hours and the ones I look at have 1-3 days of activation. the paid (and screwed) host I have is not responding to my email since yesterday about hosting a new domain on my account. couldn't want to bust my budget over another paid hosting for now, I just want a free one for the next 2-3 months.
I dunno why you're craving for cpanel if you get sql and php for free hosting. Anyway, here are some offering instant activation...check and choose what you need : http://phpnet.us/ http://hyperphp.com/freehostingplans.php http://free-name.org/ http://4sql.net/ http://ifastnet.com/ http://kwikphp.com/ http://my-php.net/ http://my-webs.org/ http://prophp.org/ and more...
actually, I don't really need cPanel but some free hosts w/o cPanel is kind of confusing. I got a free web account that gives me a free subdomain (which I don't need) and allows me to host my own domain (so thats 2 domain in 1 account). but I don't see how I can upload files to my TLD when their FTP is for the subdomain, unless I am missing something here. couldn't find any folders to my TLD in the file manager too. Figured that I might as well go for cPanel since it is easier to transfer my website over to my paid account (cPanel), if there comes 1 day where my host finally replies to me. thx for the links, I will check them out. cPanel is not impt I guess. I only have 2 days to fix this up until I leave for conscription.
ok, I signed up with phpnet.us and they gave me a directory to upload files for my TLD. the path seems too long, not that I mind, but does it affect search engine bots crawling? Heres the path: /home/vol1/phpnet.us/l/larvos/larvos.com
i suggest you try www.65gb.com 65000 mb, no ads, auto-installers everyting. I use them for testing apps
I tried it, it is exactly the same as 789mb, both doesn't provide a folder for me to upload my files to my own domain. unless I need to create my own folder domain.com? not going to test it though, not wanting to reset the DNS propagation again
phpnet.us have ads embedded, probably the whole byethost servers use it too. guess they are good for testing out CMS only. my paid host finally replied that they will get the cpanel reconfigured to my new domain name, so I guess I just have to wait.
yea, don't intend to. still waiting for my paid host to configure the cPanel settings. I tried 1 of these free hosts that offer fantastico. used it to install zen cart and it gave an error. turns out 1 of the required php command was disabled. I guess the fantastico was for, umm...no idea.
