As far as I knew, there are 2 types of free blog, Blogspot and Wordpress. Do you all know any others which is good too? Please let me know if there is any. Thanks
Sites such as today.com offer free blogs, niche sites such as ridestrong offer cyclists free blogs. It all depends what you are looking for. Personally I'd rather pay the $, secure my domain and the hosting and now I'm in control. It's not like it costs all that much.

Typepad is a pay service. I believe you;re thinking of http://vox.com. Wordpress.com is not a free service. It is advertising supported. They display adverts on your site to your visitors. Why not google for "free blog host" and see what you can find? There are thousands of them out there. Are you looking for anything specific or needed a specific feature?
do not use free blog...it's really cheap to build your own blog with your own domain... like....$10/year.......for domain...........$60/year for hosting space......
There's also Tumblr. I've never tried it, but just from the looks of it, it's a nice one, has that web 2.0 touch. Personally, my platform of choice is Blogspot, it's great for blogging on a budget.
