Sheesh - I'm sure there are lots of us!

I know there are a few designers - Colleen in particular.

I do website development, all the lovely nitty gritty database-y type stuff. LAMP but I've done Oracle, SQL Server, foxpro in the past. Right now I'm playing with CakePHP. Yumm.

I'm not sure how technical Smyrl is and I'm reasonably confident that Summer is into creative stuff and leaves the techie stuff to her big bro.

    So, that's just me really...

    Surely there's more?!!!!

My programming goes way back starting with Fortran, COBOL, BASIC, Pascal. In '95 saw html for the first time and said, "What can I do with that?" My first site was developed that summer and has been online ever since.

Man I miss Fortran and Pascal - wrote alot of code in those languages. Took a Comp Sci class in college with PL/I and loved it too.

I even remember the first time I saw a symbolic debugger - about 8 years after I started coding. Damnest thing I ever saw...:D

As far as female programmers go, my first programming gig out of college was a team of 5 women, me and two other guys. Those chippees could write some serious code and were more than happy to rip you a new one during code reviews. They'd use their multi-threaded brains against us and then drink all the coffee just to spite us. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!! YOU DON'T STAND A CHANCE!!

I remember now, you're stauncher than most us put together.

I did pascal and cobol and university in '85 but didn't touch html until '98/ '99 [go way back]

As the saying goes we've come a long way baby and what fun it has been. In '83 I got my first home computer, a TI Pegasus. It worked off two, 256K floppy disk drives. How I loved that machine!

For real. My first real tech job was me and 18 fellas. They knew who was in charge. ;)
