I think I have a good website idea that will geneerate repeat traffic once users start visiting and am thinking of ordering a review from ReviewMe as soon as I get my site live.... Has anyone used ReviewMe which can cost quite a bit for a popular blog review ($500 for John Chow) but you gain immediate exposure to many thousands of readers and from my research it seems that it can be worthwhile...any thoughts, experiences, advice with paid reviews
the site appears to have quiet a small traffic - in NO way justifying to pay for a listing. a rough guess is 10'000 unique visitors / day ..... save your money, create a few hundred content pages MORE asap and you get same or much higher traffic from your own content.
I have tried it and it was not worth it. Sometimes a review can make or break your website (at least for a few weeks/months). If you're selling something its not worth it. If you are offering services completely for free, than a review me might be a good option. A review is good for leads or rss subscribers or maybe if you really have developed something unique. I agree with advice hans gave you. Create your content or spend that review money on outsourcing and let others help you create content.
It all depends on how much traffic the site has like JOhn Chow and you won't get visitors from REviewMe site.
Most advertisers get their site reviewed not for direct traffic from the site but for getting backlinks so that get better ranking in SERP and hence more targeted traffic. Actually it works. If you have a product or service to sell and you are targeting a specific keyword, then reviews can help.
just go for hiring article writers and make them write articles and submit them to top article directories. this work really good than what you can think.
