Any Experience with LinkBlaster?

I've recieved email from LinkBlaster offering 150 links from IP diverse pages for 90 days for $195.

It seem like a very good offer. Has anybody got any experience with this service? One of my SEO client would like to use them and has asked my opinion.

in general, I'd avoid any company sending unsolicited emails... but no, I've never heard of this company.

I would certainly not use a firm like that.

Like what? What evidence do you have that they are "like that"?

I guess my point is that you have to trust somebody. If they in fact can deliver what they claim these could be valuable links. What exactly is your criteria for rejecting them out of hand. Do you have any experience? Do you know anyone who has used them?

I'm being cast in the position of appearing to defend these people, but here is a more comprehensive look at their inbound links:
    Engine Count
    Google 33
    Yahoo 762
    MSN 53
    AllTheWeb 214
    AltaVista 222

We all know that Googles backlink and PR reporting is incomprehensible at the moment. How can you make a value judgment on evidence of that kind.

But don't you think that - even though they are new - that to put their best foot forward, they'd get a lot of inbound links to them using their same service? That's really my point. If, after (I believe they said they were 4 mos old), 4 months they don't really have a lot of backlinks, then it doesn't say a lot for what is being done.

I'm not really knocking them or not; I haven't used em or inquired about it - those are just my initial impressions.

That's my feeling. If they are so good, why dont they have a boatload of their own ibl's? My guess is because they generate the ibl's in a way that may not be SE friendly and they don't want to harm themselves but others are ok. Sort of like those traffic power pukes. Just my opinion and you know what opinions are don't you?

It could be that they don't want the sites on which customers would gain links being shown as linking back to there own site.

That way there is a layer of obscurity between themselves and the linking partner sites.

If all the sites were linking to their own site, it would be a simple matter for the search engines to trace them, and claim that the sources of the links were link-farms and ban them. Then they wouldn't have anything to sell.

Compar, will they allow you to inspect the sites before committing?

My view is you need to see proof of servicability. Who are their clients and are they happy. Standard business. Anything less and I'd abandon them straight away.

They do offer a freebie for PR6 pages and up.. maybe that's the best way to test the waters. Check em out from the flip-side if you want to risk it.

Otherwise I've heard nothing negative about them. :)

A quick look shows you how they do it.

    http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=linkblaster&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&start=10&sa=N

    See: http://www.eseesky.com/lb_resources.asp , http://www.earthsubmit.com/lb_resources.asp (messed up, showing their script) , http://www.maljonicsdreams.com/lb_resources.php?p=directories-search-engine

It seems to me like they require all client to add this directory of links to their site and the cliets' sites. Basically creating tons of cross links between the clients, only one way between lb and the clients from the clients.

See their clients through this search http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=linkblaster++"lb_resources"&meta= . From there on you could pick a few and see how well they rank for their choosen anchor text, whether they are penalized, whether the lb link counts or not etc.

I have used this service after receiving emails promising 180 links for $195.00 for 3 months.

    Qoute from their email

"Subscribe today and within one day we will have links pointing to you from:
    2 PR7 Sites
    20+ PR6 Sites
    40+ PR5 Sites
    20+ PR4 Sites
    Many Others"

It has now been a little more than 3 months and there are no PR 7's, No PR 6's, No PR 5's and No PR 4's. There aren't even 180 links - there are many links from PR 0, PR 1, PR 2 and PR 3 sites.

When I called to inquire what happened - I was forwarded a "report" showing how successful the campaign had been but what it showed were the links I had already had in place that he was trying to take claim for.

Now my calls aren't being taken nor are my messages being returned.

If you are looking for a bunch of low pr links - this might be your answer but don't beleive the sales pitch as it is a bunch of hooey....

BTW - there was no change in my serp's either way - it had no effect.
