Any experience with adbrite/etology/adengage?

    Hey all

Do any of you people have any experience with the companies I mentioned(adbrite/etology/adengage) in an advertisers perspective?'

Because i'm considering to buy some advertising using one of these companies, but I don't want to do this if it's crap.
I would not be buying network ads, but ads on a certain site.

If it would help you, MY site is an entertainment and video site :).

Buying sponsored ads on particular sites is the best way to market a high CTR ad and somewhere like Adengage allows you to buy clicks for pretty cheap through their sponsored ads; it works out cheap as you pay a fixed price.

I have used Adengage for sponsored ads and it was fine... the traffic was decent and converted ok. I was marketing an online game so was easy to get people to sign up, but at least they were!

    I recommend Adengage yes...

Etology I tested a RON ad.... small run of 500 clicks which was over in a couple of hours and was utter useless. Not one conversion. Maybe not the best test with only 500 clicks but was better than risking a lot more money.

Never advertised through Adbrite... I don't like CPM.

I tried both adbrite and adengage but the results were not good.

I suggest you pay per clicks rather than buy links for a fixed price based on a certain time because the publishers may drop the code on their site anytime.

I am sure adengage would have something in place if that was to happen.

Also before booking ads check how long the publisher has been with the network and their stats.

for an entertainment site,go with adengage direct ads.
if they drop the code, well you get your money back.
unlike adbrite, the ad starts right away and their support reply to your emails.

    Exactly! Well said.

Look at the end of the day you need to also work out what works best for you as every vertical is different and it will even come down to your ads themselves.

Okay thanks all, i might give adengage a try.
From your experience did the advertising pay back ? Did you have an increase in your own advertising income(eg. adsense)?

Don't use AdBrite's CPM model. Their sites are total garbage. However if you sift through enough sites, you can get some cheap 1-week, 1-month text ads.

I like AdEngage's system since I can filter out websites that fit certain criteria. For AdEngage, you can look at the avg CPC but it is not always accurate.
