Well, I believe Target.com (http://www.target.com) is actually some kind of Amazon superaffiliate! I'm not sure exactly how it works, and it doesn't really matter - if you look at the site, that's the way to make a shopping site. But you need a big team for that, to keep those features, lists etc. up-to-date. Still, I think we as small-time affiliates can learn something from that!
Aha, apologies, it seems Target.com LEFT Amazon last year: http://www.zdnet.com/blog/btl/targe...es-it-risk-opportunity-for-gsi-commerce/22424 But it wasn't a simple affiliate site, with simple linking to Amazon, there was a closer relationship, I am not exactly sure how it worked, but anyway, it's a good example of a shopping site that could be done even by an affiliate.
I have been joining amazon associate for years but got not much, I'm looking for successful example as well. Thanks.
Yes, I forgot about Nextag, the site doesn't look amazing, but basically they promote it like a "real" online shop, constantly updating the homepage with the latest deals, featured products etc. And they make huge sales. According to their LinkedIn profile they have 300 employees! probably that's not just this site, but still, gives you an idea of the scale!
