Hi guys. I hope this is in the right section as its adwords based + a bit extra required. I can see which keywords are getting clicked but as my website is just about someone filling in a 4 page form and pressing 'submit', is there any way of linking the keyword typed in initially to the final 'submit' on my site? I am very interested in finding out which of my keywords are resulting in the most forms submitted but can't find a simple tool to help me with my quest. Thanks for any help you can give in advance.
If your using other ads apart from google's the following may be useful Just started using it, you have to paste a little code into your site and your done http://clickaider.com/
You might want to take a look at google analytics goal tracking to track the organic keywords used too.
Thanks guys for these ideas - I'll put them on the list of 'exploration'! I set up google's conversion tracking last night, copied the code into the body of my 'thank you' page but when I filled in my own form (after clicking on one of my adverts from a google search) I didn't see google's little box anywhere on my page. I've tried moving the code to another part of the page (not in the footer or header) and the box still doesn't show up. I've checked in the conversion trackin area and the status is Active yet nothing has shown up stats-wise on my clicks, although extra columns have been added. Its annoying because I can't be sure whether the conversion tracking is really working or not. I'll just have to give it 24 hours and see if the stats get updated maybe? I wondered if it had been down to the fact I'd used the Google Console to get the code (ie not the individual users account) but having just gone into the individual google account and copied the code across into the page, still no little Google box on my end of form page :-<
I use Firefox which wasn't showing the google box. Now I've just rechecked in IE6 and the box is showing. This isn't good as I'm not sure whether google will track conversions properly! I guess if the code is on the page it will check it but why such a slip-up not to show the box in Firefox?
OK guys this is not good. Seems if my clients fill out the form in IE then I'll get the conversion stats, if they fill out the form in Firefox then I won't :-<
