Yes, very different. Ban means google will not show your website and will never index it. Not indexed just means it has not been crawled by the google bots yet. They might think it may not have sufficient content yet. It takes time, but they are different.

Most of the time it would be the same thing. There may be some circumstances where a new website has some type of coding error or something that prevents the Google spider from properly accessing pages. In that case the website may not be indexed, but it is not banned either. That person could fix the coding errors and get into the index.

 

Ban is when Google have index your site but late ban your site from Google search. Not index is when Google have not pick your site...

 

When you site is banned google bots comes to ypur site about a week and looks what have been changed. If you have changed the things causing the ban, then google will remove your ban. Having a ban doesn't mean that googlebot will never come again

 

So a site can not be found by using Google search [ site:site-name ] can by many reasons.

How do you know it is banned?

Can we say what ever a banned site mean the site becomes a stranger for Google.
Since Google see the site as a stranger so the site is similar to a new site and has to wait for indexing again.

They are two different concepts. If you site was previously indexed by Google but it has been removed means it might have got banned. But if its not indexed at all, it means you need to make Google read your site.

 

its majore diff. google ban site means google will not taking consider update for your site in future and google not index my site means since last couple to months or time google not update my site but it may be update.

 

"ban" is punishment given to a site by google .
"Not index" only means the site is a new site and invisible by google bot .
It takes time for google to index it .
