Any difference between SEO for php and html?

Is there any different search engine optimization required for php and html?

I am asking this question because few months back I was using html index page and it was ranking pretty good in search engines. But now after few months of my site being closed by myself, I am using php as my index page and now the rankings are not at all good for the keywords that I am focusing.

I am almost using the same keywords and text that I was using on html page at that time.

My site is in my sig. Can anyone give me any useful tips on my SEO for the site.

as a matter of fact the seo can be done in same way for both of the pages(html and php) but the search engine love Html pages as they find it easy to crawl on the html pages, hence I would like to advice you to start the HTMl page again, or if you want to continue with php, make sure you do more seo strategies and make a configuration of pinging to your webpage.
for more inofrmation about pinging ,PM me ,

There is no difference between optimising a PHP page and an HTML page - they are exactly the same, as long as the PHP is written properly. People run into problems with dynamic sites using PHP or ASP when they do odd things like put session IDs in URLs, or allow multiple URLs for each page, or create infinite loops where the spider eventually has to give up crawling or they'd be crawling your site forever.

However if your home page looks exactly the same as the original, but just with a .php at the end rather than a .html, there should be no difference at all.

    Instead it could be:
    1) Google appreciates reliability and stability. Your site being closed for ages is going to affect your search rankings, and maybe the potential for your page to rank for a while.
    2) Have you refreshed your links and got new ones since going live?
    3) Has competition in your market changed?

Also - bear in mind that Google will have changed while you've been away. They've got increasingly harsh with MFA (made for adsense) sites and your site is quite ad heavy. Plus you have a number of potentially paid links / exchanged links in your footer, which Google's got increasingly good at spotting.

Oh - and finally, you might like to make sure index.html (or index.htm) redirects to your home page too. Then any old links will count towards your link juice.

You have to concentrate on offpage optimization to generate the quality backlinks. I suggest you to put some quality and unique content in web pages of your website. You can also opt social media optimization to attract more visitors towards your website.

thanks to all of 3 especially carleisenstein for such a detailed reply.

I am focusing on getting new links and definitely competition is changed in the market. i will keep all the steps in my mind which you people have said. Thanks once again.

Another thing I want to know is that, title and meta tags are not in the index page itself. Its in another page which is fetched by the index page. Is it ok for SEO?

As per SEO friendly HTML suits best rather than PHP. I can suggest you to make use of HTML and DiV tags more.. If you useing php u can go for image optimization

php is like HTML, but php includes HTML in it. PHP is better because it includes HTML.
PHP is a server site scripting language while HTML is a client side scripting language. PHP makes a page based on server guided parameters like the current date and time, data base info, ect. HTML is static which means what you see is what you get and is not guided by any type of server parameters.

I would like to thanks to akheelseo who tell us right views about "difference between SEO for php and html". According to me, If you make your website in HTML language, google crawl the html tags very easily Basically PHP tag is good for impage optimization.

Not a difference at all, it's all about keyword rich content, great site architecture and great links.

There is no difference but if you have changed the URLs of some of your pages you have probably lost some of the visitors and google has lost some of your pages ...

Php and html, both are SEO friendly languages. More simple the language is, more SEO friendly it is. Flash and java are not recommended for SEO, otherwise it does not matter if you are using php or html. Keep on doing the hard work on your website. It will yield results soon.

There is no such thing as "SEO friendly" computer languages ... All languages in the end produce HTML/CSS etc so it does not matter what language you use as long as you know what you are doing ... so please think before you post ...

People just spamming to get the post count ... without thinking about what they say ... deserve to be reported (IMHO)
