Excellent site in terms of design, copy, call to action. I would move the search option up to the top, though. Search has got to be a major focus for a site like this, you have to do a superb job on that action. Consider adding ajax completion tools for the search text entry, for example.
Thanks for that. Although I`ve got the Google combined websearch and product search in the top half I think you`re right. The Product Search would look better and be of more use to visitors if it was at the top of the page.
I think you could do a much better job at using the extra white space. The large amount of white space makes the website seem incomplete. I don't like the background for the navigation menu either. It is too busy and makes the text hard to read. Also it would be better if you were able to use good seo urls instead of the amazon product feed urls. Perhaps a mod rewrite would work well.
^^^ Agreed with the navigation menu. The graph background makes the links difficult to read. Also the page seems very long. Having to scroll to the bottom of the page to search is a bit of a nuisance. Spa Chemicals is the only hyperlink not capitalized.
Good-looking website. I like the picture at the top - looks like those powertools are really going to be a lot of fun. I agree with the posts about the navigation bar. I think that needs to be a little more sharp looking.
Thanks for all your comments. I`ve now added a Product Search box at the top, and bolded the navigation bar down the left hand side to make them stand out more.
