I don't see any powerful competitor for Google Adwords. This is probably due to the fact that Adwords delivers the right traffic by the right means. I can name a few other PPCs like Bidvertiser, Adbrite and Adengage. I don't see any of these close to Adwords when it comes to delivering high quality traffic. Do you agree with me?
Yes I agree. It is the top PPC program as far a quality goes. People use the other services when they are banned from Adwords or want cheaper traffic. Plus, you can't beat all the free tools Google throws in like the Keyword Tool and Webmaster Tools.
no doubt Adwords traffic quality and volume is great. however some other SEs like Bing, 7search etc are worth trying. of course traffic level is low, but still its a good idea to diversify in order to protect yourself from only one vendor/supplier syndrome.
I agree and I would add that other SEs HAVE to be used depending on which country you are targeting. For example if you target the US, I believe that 'Bing Powered' SEs represent over a third of the US web search market. So you basically need to use them alongside Adwords. For other countries like in Europe Bing's search market share is way lower so you might not need to spend time on them and focus 100% on Adwords.
Adwords is the best in the paid marketing world. Even many other competitors now a days are available and people never go for that sites because of their irrelevant search results. In terms of huge traffic and relevant results, Adwords is the best one to consider...
As trustico said, it needs to be used depending on the market for which you are targeting. In Hong Kong, yahoo enjoys a very good market share. Hence, for better result in Hong Kong, it is better to go with yahoo advertising program.
Adword is pioneer of pay per click industry and search marketing . Adwords gig has more experience managing their business core compare to their followers. However. Adwords is not a flawless system. More than dozens Internet marketers complain Adwords gives low conversion. Do not know who to blame. is it because wrong adwords management or poor landing page.
The most legitimate long term threat to Google's dominance is likely Facebook, once they decide that they actually want to compete in search and not keep offering these zany hybrid models of marketing. Until then, the only large competition for them is Bing. And no one realistically views Bing as a serious threat to their market share.
Since most of the traffic comes through Google, hence it more preferable to use Google AdWords program in comparison to the other search engines, however most likely Facebook could be the emerging threat in terms of the popularity it has gained with the advertisers.
