Any brushes/textures or tools to re-create this texture?

    Hi,

The fruit of my labour, I wouldn't advise copying it this closely, but I just thought I'd have some fun :).

The colours aren't exact, and neither is the design, but here's how I made it if you're interested.

First of all, get the sponge brushes from here and load them into your PS. Then I'd advise starting off with a solid coloured square, and then create a clipping mask layer with the gradient of green -> blue on it. Then rather than have the brushes make up the shape of your box, select the eraser tool and use any one of your newly aquired brushes to go around the edge of your box, with a 'flow' parameter set to something very low, and just slightly touch the edge of your box.

Then, make your eraser much larger ( 500-600px ) and just put a few imprints over the entire thing, to create the inner texture.

If your box isn't neat enough, then use the marquee select tool to select the box excluding the very borders, and select the inverse and delete. Then use the smudge tool around the edges to make it look more realistic.

Throughout making this, you should be switching which one of the 10 supplied brushes you use, and also vary the angle. As well as this, you must only use the brushes in 'clicks' rather than a continous stroke - else you will lose the shape of the sponge.

    ( Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 - 55% downloaded, can you tell ? :D )

    Thanks,
    Hecky.
