Finally I lost my domain they said after 5 moths I used an incorrect contact information when i buy the domain. I think they are a scam. Now they using my domain for their PPC advertising. Scam Domainsite.com
It's against ICANN rules to provide false contact information. Did they force you to break the rules?
I usually receive email alerts whenever I am required to double check contact information for domains that I own. And I believe DomainSite should have emailed you a warning of some sort before taking the domain ownership away from you. Did they not do that?
If your contact details were not updated, how can they contact you directly? Did you even read your contract to begin with? You think they're a scam? I think you're a scam for giving inaccurate details in this forum. Amazing what viewpoints some people try to impress on others. And no, the 1 I mentioned above is only an example for people to think twice before posting.
I had a similar issue with this company after making a typo in the phone number on the registration details page. They proceeded in a completely unprofessional, knee-jerk manner by making a completely false and unfounded accusation that I had used fraudulent credit card information to register the domains simply on the basis that the telephone number was incorrect. And then proceeded to wipe out 20-odd domains I had with them. Their self-proclaimed 'security expert' had jumped to a wrong conclusion that was miles off the mark. After correcting the error, they eventually found time to reinstate my domains.
Why would you ever put false information on a domain? If you dont want "whois spam" just add a spam guard service when you register the domain. Seriously, if the domain was worth registering, its worth protecting yourself, right?
Well, under ICANN policy, you need to furnish with accurate information and if you found out you have made some boo-boo in there, you are supposed to correct them immediately. If you use fake information then you broke the terms and they do not need to provide you with service any longer. It is essential to use real information and if you do not want them to be seen then use either your PO BOX address or use their Whois Privacy. You cannot put any blame on domainsite for their actions, you are clearly in the wrong here. Take this as a lesson.
Yeah, it doesn't mean you can't still try to contact Domainsite and attempt to have them return you the ownership of the domain name but since you broke the terms under which you registered it, you might just have to accept the loss.
