Federal Bank has a type of savings account called "Yuvamithra". You should be under 35 to be eligible for it. Though it is a zero balance account, it offers all features of a regular account (Cheque Book, ATM Card, Net Banking etc). Contact your nearest Federal Bank for more details.

I also talked to HDFC Bank. They are also ready to open an account with Rs.2500 minimum balance. BUt at the starting you need to give Rs.5000. But after that we can withdraw Rs.2500 from it and leave it with only Rs.2500. :)

They are also giving a International VISA Debit card and many facilities in it ! :D

Well, I think they told me about the Normal Savings Account !! :)
And it has all the facilities in it with Rs.5 lakh insurance. :D
And we can withdraw a maximum of Rs.50k at one time from the Debit Card.
Its a cool one. I think best for us. ALso we can recharge our mobile via NetBanking of HDFC.

Then its really good facilities provided by HDFC bank.

BTW are you sure that there is no any penalty for keeping only 2500 INR balance in it instead of 5000 INR

Yup, I am sure !! :) You can keep your balance 2500 INR..!! Just while opening they need 5000 INR.

And, in AXIS also there is a new scheme in which you can keep your account balance ZERO. But you need to deposit Rs.5000 in the beginning and then you can withdraw all your money after opening of account. :)
