I just started with AC and wanted to know if any users are getting the higher end of the average pay out. I am getting the low end and trying to figure out what topics they pay more for. Thanks for your help.
Most of my submissions earn in the $4-$8 range. That's it. Never really gone for home run, just steady submitting keeps the money flowing to my Paypal account.
I have written on finance, health, and family issues. I did write 3 How To... and was paid $10 for each. Good Luck.
I was reading up on AC yesterday, but didn't join because one of the reviews said that their article approval process takes a couple weeks. Is that true? If so, that's not an steady enough flow into my PayPal account for my taste.
I don't know. Becuase I'm not a USA tax payer, I can't get upfront payments for my articles, only performance bonuses which are dependant on pageviews. I'm under the impression that news articles get approved quicker. My first three articles for performance only payments were reviewed within a day to ensure I met quality guidelines and wasn't spamming the place. After that all your non-upfront payments get approved automatically whn you hit the 'publish' button. But, you can't go back and edit or delete anything you've written.
are they real picky about what they take? I heard same as well that process to review the articles takes 3-4 weeks
I joined AC almost a year ago, but I just recently started submitting anything, just couldn't seem to get in gear with it. Anyway, I've just gotten between $3 to $5.50 so far for any of the articles. But, they've been pretty quick to review them, usually withing a couple of days and sometimes the day after I've submitted. They pay 3 times a week, Mon. Wed and Fri and anytime they've accepted one and made the offer, I've gotten paid for it on the next paying day. But, on about half of the articles I've submitted they've came back with "content to common" and suggested I still publish it for page views. It takes 1000 page views to get $1.50, so I've not bothered to publish a article I've spent time on for page view only. They also have a call for content section in your account area, but I've not done any of those yet. They're suppose to vary depending on your profile or something, so far most of mine have been for political articles that you have to be a "first person" to write about. From what I understand, they won't accept any news articles unless they're in the calls for content or you are a first person, in other words if you weren't there to eye witness the news event they don't want it. But, they've been really quick to pay so far and even though it's not a lot it will add up and at least Paypal doesn't take any fees out of the payments, which can also add up.
