You can add your own products on the homepage of your Associate O Matic site, if you make a seperate page. To my knowledge, you can't add them within the other pages. Since everyone is sharing theirs, mine is here: duzins.com I placed an affiliate feed on my homepage, but you can place your own products there, or any other page you want. I was impressed with the customization but yet how easy it was. That said, I'm not yet driving any converting traffic there. I get a sale every now and then, but nothing stable. I do generate sales from the RSS feed on the homepage though. I already have a few dozen subscribers. What I don't understand is how I am getting so many pageviews for the site. I wonder if it counts the header, footer and such as seperate pages, so that each actual pageview really generates 3. I am seeing an avg of 50 visits per day (I know, sad), but around 2K pageviews. That doesn't seem to make sense...
I'm selling a script that's different from a lot of stuff out there. Please see this thread for details: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=180779
I have been using the paid version of AOM for almost 2 months now and am very happy with the script and the ability to customize it to my liking. Obviously since it isn't open source you don't get everything that you want, but it comes pretty darn close. Using the script on several niche sites I have already netted around $250 in commissions since the beginning of October.
Nichevalue you are doing better than I am. I've generated about $250 in rev for Amazon in the month Ive ben running AOM but that $5 for me is rather depressing.
I'm using AOM (trial version) on thezeroboss.com. It's taken about two weeks, but traffic to the product pages is picking up now. ZB is a PR5 or or PR6 site that gets slurped by Google every 24 hours at least, so the delay is intriguing. I assume Google's spider decided to spread the indexing work out across a few weeks. I've had a few conversions so far, but nothing stunning. I'm going to give it the full month before I render a verdict. I'll keep ya posted.
