Windows XP here, service pack 2 installed, but it's just not having Windows Movie Maker, just crashes every time, lost my patience with it now. Got a video in Windows Media Player that I made yesterday, just over 8 mins long, now I would have thought it would be a pretty simple job to upload it to Youtube from that location, but can I find anything to do this, without constantly running across Movie Maker, no! It's starting to do my bloody head in, it's so annoying and exasperating. So, first, how do you compress the file to fit under YT's maximum limit, to what does it need to be converted to, what type of format and how do I do this and finally, is there a tool I can use that will accomplish this goal simply, without all this faffing about? Now 5:30am, knackered and at my wits end, assistance would be appreciated. Something simple must be out there that works a treat, but come hell and high water, can I find it? Driving me to distraction it is. Help would really be appreciated. Any ideas of other tools I can use? Or, the video is also in Picasa, same question, how do I get it from either of these locations, successfully onto Youtube? Please keep your replies simple. Many thanks. Mark
ahead nero got a video editor or you could use pinacle studio 9 or whatever version your able to purchase
Many thanks, Ill take a look, appreciate the reply. If anyone knows of anymore, I sure would appreciate you posting them up below. Many thanks. Mark
I use Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing but that's for reeeaally heavy editing. If you just have to do something simple like cut and transition, then Premiere isn't really necessary. You can also try Ulead. Now, to be able to upload it to Youtube. Videos are usually .AVI or .WMV right? To be able to compress a .avi video file you have to reduce your resolution and frame rate. Then increase your key frame rate. You can do all these things by using Digital Media Converter. Here: http://www.deskshare.com/dmc.aspx I hope I was able to help out
