    Hi,

I am looking to start an affiliate program for my website. I found some programs such as idevaffiliate, ultimate affiliate manager, jam.jrox and a few more BUT they all require my host (Homestead) to have a MySQL database.
Homestead said they do not have that.

Anyone know any affiliate software that I can use that does not require MySQL database. (I don't even know what MySQL is or any other language like that. I just know homestead does not support that)

Homestead is my host and paypal is my shopping cart.

    Thanks for any info.

Go with a hosted solution like Affplanet, for example.

I have some other hosted aff. tracking systems listed on my site.

    Cheers,

Or better yet - find a host WITH MySQL. Or are they an all windows shop that only uses SQLserver?

Thanks! Great site. Lot's of choices. Too much for me since I don't understand all that stuff. But I signed up and browsed through a bunch of sites. Great amount of information you offer.
Affplanet does seem like it may be the best for me and best price too.
How would you compare that to Shareasale? Sharasale has the initial fee and 20% while Affiliate is flat monthly rate of either $19 or $29. Does one recruit many more affiliates through Sharasale due to it's popularity and network? If so, may be worth spending a little more money?
Too bad Affplanet doesn't offer that free trial now.

You first need to decide if you want to be on a network or manage your own affiliates. Read the e-book you would have received as part of signing up on my site.

Then if network is what you want, I think you need to see if Shareasale has affiliates for what you want to sell. Check with them directly.

Another option for you might be an integrated affiliate tracking and membership script, where you could offer free content like chinese herbal videos etc. to encourage members to join, and then they buy via the membership site. All members would be affiliates, so this way you don't need a separate affiliate signup at all. This is php/mysql so you're going to need a better hosting account than where you're at.

Hope this isn't too much to chew on at once :)

    Cheers,
    Peter
