Does anyone have any advice for running a successful (campaign that converts to leads) adwords campaign for an elder law lawyer that holds free local seminars on the topic? The goal of the campaign is to get attendees to the seminars. So far they have recieved very few clicks and even fewer conversions. Any advice?
Some of this you may have already tried but I'll toss it out anyway; 1. Geo target your ads. 2. In your keyword selection make sure to include terms like "yourcity" , "your state" keyword. Since it's for a seminar consider keyword variations on training, seminar, learning, etc. 3. Emphasize free in your ad copy. 4. Offer a free gift/promo item for attending. Take it a step further - maybe offer a free downloadable "gift" (maybe a text version of part of the seminar) as a premium they can receive after filling out the form. 5. The landing page should be short and to the point - you want to capture the registration. Make sure to include a phone #. If you could include a video snippet of part of a seminar your client has done that may help. 6. Consider simply capturing an e-mail address on the landing page then sending the "meat" out to the e-mail vs. trying to say/capture too much info via the landing page. 7. Identify the keywords that are working and roll them into AdCenter. Yahoo sucks for the legal market, but give it a go if you desire. Like I said, you may have done/are doing all that already. Just wanted to toss out some general ideas that may help kick off some new ideas. Good luck
Try to add more and keywords, but be careful to do not loose your focus. try to add more ads and also create more ad groups separating keywords and creating ads specific for these keywords - this will enhance CTR%
Fantastic! post "GuyFromChicago" very interesting tips Does anyone knows how well the “Geo target†Works?
We use geotargeting a lot for our clients. It works very well for targeting broad terms such as "restaurants" instead of bidding on words such as "restaurants in chicago" as the keyword "restaurants" will only show to people within the targeted radius.
I do the same, but still always include phrases like "restaurants in chicago". Quite often you'll find that type of variation is less expensensive than "restaurants" by itself.
