I search eBay, there are article directory for sale, why do they require postage? I wish to buy an article directory for AdSense, have you guys any experience? Any suggestion will be appreciated.
This is an good idea. Just ask the webmaster how many hits he is getting everyday and how much he is earning from it daily. Don't forget to ask him if his site is banned from adsense or you will face difficulty in implementing adsense on it.
Well that depends on you whether you want to make commitments and develop the directory further. Most of the time, some these directories don't generate enough profit, which is the reason why the webmaster wants to sell it in first place. So if you intend to just get one and let it sit around hoping that it will cover back your investment, then my advice is better don't....Oh yeah, and article directories niche is also quite competitive nowadays.
Article directories will always have duplicate content that will end up in the supplemental index. So what this means is that you will rarely see any search engine visitors, unless you develop and improve with quality inner linking and getting PR backlinks... From what I assume from your post, you're looking for a quick buck and believe that simply setting up an article directory will get you lots of visitors who will click on your ads, but this just ain't the case. You will have to work to make your article directory succeed. Many times website sellers generate fake hits or send junk traffic to their "to be sold" websites, to inflate the price, but even if the traffic stats are real you have to know that most likely at least half of the traffic is from article submitters and they usually won't visit your sponsors or buy anything. The above is true for those standard directories, if you want an established quality directory you will need to give out some real bucks.
They require postage because new eBay rules are in place: you cannot sell digital items. So they have to send you a CD or something to overcome this rule.
