Antivirus - NOD32?

    Hi.

Recently my Norton's had stopped working, it got an error, and I couldn't even start the program. I've tried uninstalling it, and re-installing it a lot of times, and spent a few hours on online customer support chat.

I remember seeing NOD32 for $64 dollars for a years license a few weeks ago, and seeing as it will cost about $100+ to get someone to come around to fix it up, I thought it would be a good idea.

I was just wondering if NOD32 does all the same things that Norton's does?

I wouldn't use anything else, NOD 32 in my opinion is the best antivirus available...

NOD32 will not slow you pc down either, like Norton does.

Norton is terrible, and it's hard work to remove, if you want to completely get rid of it, you will need Norton Removal Tool (google it)

Yeah, I have Norton Removal Tool, I used it a few times from when I tried to re-install Norton's.

Thanks for all the replies :D But does it do all the things Norton's does? Firewall and what not?

No it's not a firewall, for a firewall i'd recomend Comodo, which is very good, and free...

Do things like AVG and Comodo's firewall measure up to Norton's?

Kashpersky was good 4-5 years ago.

    my av rating:
1/2 NOD32, DrWeb (which is better the matter of taste)
    3. f-prot - used to be free, don't know about now
    4. Norton - user standard choice
    5. McAfee - have a lot of problems now...
    6. Kaspersky - used to be good a long time ago

DrWeb has 1m try free, full functional.

Nod sucks! when i used it it detected no virus then when i switched to Kaspersky it found like 20!

i would use Kaspersky Internet Security it comes with all the features of a virus scanner and more plus a cool feature that disables you from seeing all ads when you browse the web! only $59.95 for a year license!

    Kaspersky Info: kaspersky.com/kis6

Plus theres also a cheaper only anti-virus (only) version which is still good.
