War is, at this point in human history, a necessary evil. Whining about it does not, in any way, make it less necessary. In fact, due to the oddities of human psychology, it makes it more necessary, because it encourages the enemy to attack you.
Yep, only muslims are fundamentalists. Wrong - go learn. Now we see where his fear lies. Will, have you ever killed anyone?
It seems like some people hate "liberals" more than the "enemy". ----------- What if I told you it was featured on newsmax?
Completely oblivious, I'm afraid. Someone must have lit an extra aromatherapy candle today. Afterall, it's "progressive" to have lovey, touchy, feely feelings for those that want to kill you.
I think your posting will be popular in Iraq and middle East and most likely many of those that you call terrorists will consider you their hero since you are forgetting about which country was attacked and is occupied at present time.
You will have to be more specific about who 'we are fighting'. Will thinks its anyone islamist. If you are asking about muslim beliefs or the beliefs of those fighting currently in Iraq, then they are probably very different things.
if you fine with torture you just have to be fine with our soldiers being tortured you don't think we can win if we don't torture people? But we arn't killing too many of them are we, we kill a hundred a week and another thousand is born every day
From my perspective, liberals ARE the enemy as well. Enablers, of those that would attack our country. John Kerry, who was thanked by the North Vietnamese General who said that if it were not for groups like Kerry's, North Vietnam would have surrendered.
It must be tought to be Wills wife being a muslim and all, is there a difference between being a muslim and islamist?
Yes, of course there is. That is like asking "Is there a difference between being a Catholic and being a murder who happens to be Catholic?"
No, that's your perspective. Not everyone is interested in being fair to our enemies. And as has been pointed out, and ignored (as usual), those few that have done such, were dealt with. But that's not good enough for you, is it? I also question your use of "our soldiers." I've never seen you mention "our soldiers" in anything other than a negative light.
Yeah, because we all know that sawing a head off and playing loud music all night are the same thing.
Thats funny gtech because I don't remember saying anything negative our troops. I think most of my problems are with their civilian leaders.
Ferret Don't forget that they are already for arrests and imprisonment without trials, torture and executions. It won't be long until some one suggest gas chambers and mass genocide like Nazi Germany and with today's technology they will be much more efficient in extermination of wrong type of people than the Germans could hope for in WWII.
I am bewildered by this concept of moral equivalency. The en vogue policy among liberals seems to be that we are all equally bad -- no matter what our actions are. "Sure, he murders people, but you jay walk and your friend smokes dope, so you are all equally bad and therefore all equally good." That's not just an example of very poor black and white thinking, it is also seemingly insane. And quite popular. But even more bizarre is when it goes even further, and now murdering people is OK, because a murder is doing it and he's a murderer and that's just what he does so how could it be wrong -- but you are a bad person because you jaywalk. That part seems to go so far past insane so quickly that I cannot quite bring myself to believe that these people are serious.
Homer Simpson, John Kerry? I can't possibly make it any clearer. I'm not interested in having lovey, touchy feely feelings and sharing an aromatherapy candle with our enemy. If doing so means "progressive," then I will most certainly never use that word in a positive light again.
