Yes. It really sucks when you find a good article or something and then can't find it again later. When you bookmark a site or specific page you should put the article title in the description or title in case the page moves you know what it was called so you can Google it and find it reprinted somewhere else. Just about everything worth while has been republished on a blog or other site. it sucks when sites redesign and move stuff around or plain remove it for whatever reason.
I used to save everything, extremely good info I made a copy of the file if possible. Haven't debated or discussed politics online however in years so I will admit I'm a little out of practice compared to some of you pro's, all in good time it will come back to me.
What eventually became CaseAgainstBush.com began just as my favorites list of Bush related items that I emailed with the subject SAVE This E-Mail and was posted to a blog for preservation sake.
A very effective way to ensure links don't go bad is to Google the article title and then bookmark the search results. You may notice CAB makes of Google search results frequently for the very reason of many early links going bad. For instance, http://img70.imageshack.us/my.php?loc=img70&image=aproval_vs_alert_chart_NEW.gif may just go away some day. But if you do a Google image search of "aproval_vs_alert_chart" you will see the chart is available at mutliple sites. Even if spelled correctly it works. If Bush wants military to keep order in bird flu pandemic scenario ever dissappears there's always Bush wants military to keep order in bird flu pandemic scenario Bed time. Later.
Not many people are going to pro-actively support the war in Iraq on the street. Protests on the street are usually just that. If you want to actually measure the true support for the war in Iraq, you would be far better served to look at an anonymous measure. Something like an election, say. UK - Tony Blair re-elected US - George Bush re-elected AUS - John Howard re-elected Protests are more of a lifestyle choice than an actual democratic turnout.
yeah that message from patton thing would make a lot more sense if Iraq actually attacked us on 911, one one detail pretty much makes it war mongering tough guy garbage., that makes no sense
I got a red rep for above posting with comment: "you still need to learn to be nice ~D" It is interesting that someone thinks that defending and encouraging torture and abuse of prisoners is NICE but calling someone who advertises and encourages such a despicable actions idiot is NOT NICE.
I saw this program a few nights ago. It's about our torture methods being used in Iraq. It was very interesting!! There's some cool videos and stuff on the PBS site: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/torture/ You can watch it here: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/torture/view/ Videos: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/torture/behind/ The interviews: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/torture/interviews/
Yeah ok ferret. Because you say it, it must be true. The wife and I got a kick out of the show becaue not once, NOT ONCE did we hear anything like "given the chance, these men would gladly murder 20,000 innocent Americans" or "given the chance, one of these guys would saw a head off in front of a camera". Nope, all I heard about was how terrible these few soldiers were and how Donald Rumsfield ordered it to happen.
Watching it now --edit just realised the tivo recorded the wrong program about 10 seconds into it. WTF
Very good site. It will be interesting to see if these people who are defending torture today, are still going to defend it when the government start using it inside the USA and on American citizens.
Well, bottom line is this. Don't become a murderer. Don't threaten a free society Don't support TERRORISM Don't cut heads off Don't... blah blah blah. Hey I have a question for you guys. How does everyone feel about giving 1st time child molestors a minimum of 25 years with no early outs? (just curious)
I think gworld is only concerned with torture when it's a few Americans involved. Just another excuse to bash America and soldiers. It's not like he'd ever post "hey, zarqawi blew up 50 kids today."
On the surface I have no problem with it, but think there should be other factors involved such as the 16 year old girl 19 year old guy, some states I believe consider this the same, could be wrong though. I would also hope the burden of proof was met with no real doubt. If the person is guilty no problems from me on that, I question the punishment being so harsh with the possibility of the person found to be guilty is actually innocent. I also fear the possibilities of what else could happen from a certain crime sentencing going up or becoming extreme as to how law makers can go further into other areas. Not a simple to the point answer, I appologize for that
