You really are a moron. There was no need to go dropping bombs on houses. There is ZERO EXCUSES to be made. Until you can tell me why 100,000 troops with machine guns and tanks couldn't drive over there and take out 1 guy diggin a hole and bomb planes were the last resort - this is nothing more than the MURDER OF INNOCENT PEOPLE by a careless military that probably doesn't even care.

Think it through. Airplanes are used because they have several advantages over land vehicles.

    1. The arrive more quickly. Calling in air support gets a quicker response than attempting to mobilize a tank. Tanks are very slow.

    2. The arrive more safely. You may not be seeing all of the videos of IED's blowing up tanks and other military vehicles, but it's the #1 cause of our casualties in Iraq. Driving around ain't so safe.

    3. Arriving in tanks in response to a threat motivates the enemy to make more threats -- just so they can use an IED against the tank that will inevitably arrive. If the enemy knows exactly what to do to get a tank to visit, the enemy will plant IED's and then do that thing. Effectively, you are giving the enemy the ability to call in targets at will.

Now, as the the safety of airpower.

Our troops are very comfortable with airpower. The will now call down an airstrike just a few feet from their own positions. The flyboys have become just that good.

However, in any system, things will go wrong. In martial systems, people will get hurt and people will get killed. Investigations will be launched, careers will be ruined, apologies will be made, reparations will be paid, and the leftist news media will scream and cry as if they could do a better job than the professionals on the scene.

As for the military caring, I will share with you a post made today on another forum:

I don't know where you get the crazy idea that you know more about how to run a war than the United States Army. If fact, I belive that you are displaying a pathetic mixture of ignorance and arrogance. You don't know and you don't know that you don't know.

So please, get off your phony high-horse and join the rest of us in the world where we do as well as we can and sometimes we make mistakes.

Although we grieve for the 6 innocents who were killed in this accident, we also grieve for the 134 innocents who we failed to protect from terrorist attacks today. The six people died in the effort to protect more like those 134 who were purposefully murdered by Islamist terrorists.

It is funny to see that corporal Gtech supports the xbox general, little willy.

There is only one thing wrong with little willy post, it is against Geneva convention and Hague convention regarding the aerial bombardment of civilian population that USA has signed.

The whole strategy of using air power in the last few months has been adapted to save Bush administration from the embarrassment of more body bags but anyone knows that a war can not be won only from the air. This is the same type of tactics that was adapted by USA in the last years of Vietnam in order to avoid more casualty.

In view of the change of tactic and Bush speeches about bringing troops home, it seems clear that government has already preparing itself for defeat and it is pursuing a strategy which causes the least amount of embarrassment during the retreat.

Now if Little willy could manage to take out couple of his special forces out of his xbox and send them to Iraq, I am sure they could kick some serious ass and win the war.

Incorrect, as usual. It was Sergeant GTech ;)
Do you have nothing to but provide some these all kinds personal insult one liners when no comment on subject? (sorry, testing my gputz bot!)

Really? Let me guess, you know because your wife worked for the UN and speaks a foriegn language in which only it can be completely understood?

It's true! Bush heard about the famous gworld and started shivering in his cowboy boots. He quickly adapted a secret strategy change one night while having a brown bag special with Rummi at the local Sonic!

This is true. We always prepare for defeat. Why just yesterday, I was speaking with Karl Rove at the Red Lobster and he was telling me how we were preparing for more defeats. There's a secret army of aliens that will attack the island of Tuvalu and take over it's vast vegetation resources so we can make skim milk cheaper.

But wouldn't that take all the fun out of it for you? And what about your friends there? No one loves defeat more than you? Well, Reid, Pelosi, Kennedy, Kerry, Dean, Durbin...

So your logical reasoning is that it's ok the 6 innocent people were murdered by U.S. troops because 134 innocent people were murdered by crazy people?

Read what he wrote, it isn't hard to understand what he said, really, just try and read it.... go ahead, you can do it .....'

(If you need a little clue, he mentioned the other 134 lives that were lost today, he recognized the loss of lives, does it not bother you?? or is it OK, since they were just killed by some poor terrorist who had nothing better to do?)

Chiming in again with nothing useful as usual

We were talking about the murdered people by the U.S. , and as usual he tried to DIVERT blame and attention away from it by mentioning the people who were killed by "terrorists".

Hey gworld, can give a preview of how you will be bashing America, the Military, Christians and Jews today? I'd like to get a head start because I have a lot going on :D

Debunked, thanks for explaining it to yo-yo. No doubt he knew, but it wouldn't be like him to criticize terrorists. They are victims, freedom fighters!

Doug, nice summary. Will and Mia are on a roll! Will whipped ol' gputz like a rented mule, today!

Really? A Sergeant? Army must have seriously lowered it's standard to make you a Sergeant, I thought even a Corporal was too much. ;)

No, that's little willy who asks people to believe him because his wife said so. The text for both Geneva convention and Hague are available online and in English, I think you can find a copy of it on the Air force web site too. Just do a search.

You don't need to listen to I or Bush. Actions speak louder than words. It must be obvious even to a dummy like you that you can not win this war without winning the support of people (even The government admits that) and look what are they doing:

"The U.S. has steadily intensified its use of air strikes against insurgents in Iraq in the past year, increasing the number of attacks from 25 in January 2005 to 120 in November."

    and this is the result:

U.S. pilots targeting a house where they believed insurgents had taken shelter killed a family of 12 late Monday, Iraqi officials said Tuesday. The dead included children whose bodies were recovered in the nightclothes and blankets in which they had apparently been sleeping.

A Washington Post special correspondent watched as the corpses of three boys who appeared to be younger than 10 and three women were removed Tuesday from the house outside Beiji, north of Baghdad.

Family of 12 killed in U.S. strike on house

Do you think with such actions, they will have a chance in hell to win the mind and heart of people?

No, but they don't care anymore since it is decided that this battle is lost.

It seems there is no need for secret aliens army, Bush administration is doing a very good job of losing the war all by itself. At present time, it looks like the winners in long run and the one who will gain the most from Iraq war will be the Iranians. Wouldn't be funny that in the end, if it comes out that Bush served their agenda by starting the Iraq war? ;)

You can call me and others what ever you like but you can not change the fact that Bush and his administration were in charge and in the final analyzes they will be the one who will be responsible for the defeat.

Right there, "murdered", that is the difference. 134 people were MURDERED, by terrorists. 6 people were accidentally killed in a war.

Are you sure you are not one of them?

Oh, I see. It's another one of those DOUBLE STANDARDS you Bush lovers have. When a muslim kills someone they're a "terrorist" and a murderer. When an American kills a muslim he's a war hero, and just made a mistake!

I bet if you ask the remaining family members of those 6 dead people if they were MURDERED they would agree with me. I bet if you ask an Iraqi if bombs falling on innocent people's homes is TERRORISM they would agree with me that it is.

You're just so full of shit and defensive over our great country that you can't see (or turn a blind eye to) how fucked up a job is getting done of there.
