Didn't the Canadian Liberals just get tossed out of office due to rampant corruption and malfeasance of office?

Do you understand anything? How do you think that they compare statistic between different countries? THEY ADJUST IT ACCORDING TO POPULATION.

try to learn something and you will see that our murder rate (adjusted) is much lower than USA and as I mentioned before we don't need to execute people to get results.

    Clearly not.

Either you are not up on the news or you do not posess the analytical skills required to observe the obvious differences.

I agree, the type of liberal party corruption that we are dealing with in Canada, is just business as usual and daily routine for republican party in USA. ;)

Randy Cunningham was a high-flying aviator whose taste for the lavish perks of politics brought him low.

    ........................

Congressmen who had once praised Cunningham for his "integrity" weren't returning reporters' phone calls last week. Cunningham had tearfully pleaded guilty to taking more than $2 million in bribes and tax evasion. He was convicted of accepting lavish gifts, including oriental rugs, a yacht, a Rolls-Royce and, for some reason, a 19th-century Louis Philippe commode, or chamber pot. His corruption seemed to be baroque, over the top, out of keeping with most modern influence peddling, which has either been made legal or rendered arcane by clever lawyers. His lawyer, Mark Holscher, was quoted as saying that he had recommended that his client plead guilty because he had "no defense."

Lawyers are funny - Ya the guy doesn't sound like he has a defense - he is a crook and need to spend some time in a cell. Better yet, working hard! Send him to alaska in the cold to do some work up there to pay back the american people. I might forgive him if he sends me the RR. LOL

It's simple math man. I'm will to bet Austrialia has an even lower rate than the US and Canada. They've only got 16 million folks over there. Well, 15,999,999 now that one was hung ;)

This guy is a crook, plain and simple, probably a closet liberal for all we know. This is certainly not indicative of the party as a whole. Implying that it is, is like implying that every democrat out there is a drunk and let's young girls rot for 3 days before calling the authorities, e.g. Ted.

It's also like implying that all Catholic priests are pedophiles.

No one's perfect, and their are bad apples on both sides of the isle. Personally I am still waiting for all the vandalism and damage at the White Houst to be paid for, and would really like to see that Air Force One China returned.

This is the problem when you discuss things with some one who lacks common knowledge. I will try to explain this as simply as I can, so you can understand.

Lets assume that there are 2 classrooms, in the first class there is 10 students and 4 are girls, in the other classroom there are 6 students and 3 are girls. An uneducated person like you, will draw conclusion that there are more girls in the first class because there are more students, an educated person knows that you can not compare apple and oranges and compares the 2 classroom based on percentage.

    Class 1: 4/10*100= 40%
    Class 2: 3/6*100= 50%

So in fact class 2 has more girls in the class percentage wise than class 1. You do the same thing with statistics from different countries and you will see that USA has much higher rate of murder than Canada.

Thank you mia for giving me a red rep with comment:

"you are an absolute asshole-but I expect that of a canadian" but I am confused on why you are against Canadians since we are not responsible for your lack of common knowledge. Don't you think is better to try to learn something than giving people red rep for pointing out your mistakes?

In fact I like you, since it seems to me that you are a monument to failure of education system in USA. This is the reason, it is more important to spend the money on schools and health system than a stupid war that is only going to make a very few people even richer. ;)

Why do you assume I gave you a red rep? That's pretty off base.
Did it not ever occur to you that other people may actually be red repping you? I really do not have time to play your childish games.

Why you choose to constantly rip in the US is beyond me. You have no idea where or when I went to school. It certainly had nothing to do with the US, or "tax" dollars, I can tell you that much.

Like I have said before, you are a troll. Go away.

The reason that I thought the red rep was from you is that it was very similar to your postings but if I am mistaken then I apologize.

I also thought you went to school in US, because the standard of Canadian, European (including east Europe) and Asian schools are much higher than US.
If you went to school in Africa or some poor country in south America then I was wrong to blame it on US eduction system, even I still think that the education system in USA needs some serious improvement.

I agree that the US schools aren't doing their best, but I also doubt that the Canadian schools are much better, I can use you as an example can't I? You did go to school in Canada right?

My kids don't go to school, I won't let them.

Similar to my postings? When have I ever called you are anyone on this forum an "asshole"? Where is the similarity?

I did go to school in the US, however a good part of it was private education. Perhaps in math and science the US school system could use some help, however, I would hardly call it "poor", or in need of serious improvement. Although, now that you mention it, yes, if we perhaps got rid of all the tenured positions, and liberal teachers and professors, we might certainly produce more intelligent independent thinkers.

Good idea G, I never would have thought of that.

And many are pushing even further! :(

But it's in the western democracy that things are getting worse and worse...maybe some are right, that is democracy isn't that good after all. In the short term maybe, but then some take the opportunity to abuse the freedom that democracy allows.

Conclusion: democracy is great for those that can handle it, bad for those who can only think of abusing and taking the opportunity to do what they want no matter what.
