ooooooops, that was close, I was going to suggest it but then I thought it was way too obvious! So what are we going to say, Irish kissing? (I've never been lucky enough to have that experience, as far as I can remember) Iraqi kissing? DO they do that at all?
I find this quite disturbing. http://news.independent.co.uk/world/americas/article325757.ece -------- somewhat related- A guy I know is very sick and dying right now. He sprayed Agent orange from a helicopter in Vietnam and had since developed diabetes. All of his friends are dead already. He's been given some pretty shitty care in a V.A. hospital here in Chicago so we finally had him moved to a regular hospital. Hopefully it's not too late. He can tell you first hand what kind of treatment our "heroes" are given when they get back from a war. "Support the troops!" ...by putting a sticker on the back of your car? HA!
Unfortunately while US is complaining about Nuclear, chemical and biological weapons of other countries, it is actively developing all three kind of the weapons. As you can see in that article, the use of chemical weapons against civilians is against the ban of the use of such weapons by UN. May be that is the reason that US does not want to sign the treaty for international court to stop war crimes and crimes against humanity. It is sad that soldiers who risked their life for their country should end up like this after the government has no use for them anymore. While the soldiers are the one who have to deal with consequences of war, the politicians and civilian cheerleaders who admire war, will forget about soldiers as soon as the war is finished.
Agent Orange is such a scam. My genetic father was diagnosed with diabetes recently and the Air Force assigned "Agent Orange" as the explanation. They did that to make the paperwork easier for him. Diabetes runs in the bloodline. Hell, I have it worse than he does and I've never been exposed to Agent Orange. His diabetes has nothing to do with "Agent Orange", it's just something that the military doctors write down when they have no other explanation. Regarding Willy Pete -- ooohh... ahhh... weapons hurt and kill people. This is news? That is a silly article that appeals to the emotional side of weak and stupid people. It's pathetic. Here's a clue: Weapons are designed to hurt and kill people. No, seriously! Really! That's the goal. That's why we use weapons. Really. Honestly. If you don't believe me, look it up.
I would have to credit a firm belief in personal responsibility -- a complete unwillingness to blame others for issues which should rightly be my own. That, and the gift of an excellently logical mind which is not clouded by propaganda or emotion. I know that you would prefer me to be just another soft-headed useful idiot who feels rather than thinks -- but I am not a cow, I am a human. Sorry fella, but you'll always have gworld.
May be it is the effect of his father being exposed to Agent Orange. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood...War is hell. General William Tecumseh Sherman Will just likes to talk about war and killing because it makes him feel like a man but he will never be man enough to serve and actually fight.
We've been over this before so please move on. As I have told you several times in other posts Julian, the is US not building weapons or weapon systems in order to threaten other nations, nor are they building them to conquer or oppress. They build them in the hopes that we never had to use them. It's called a "deterrent". What do you think brought an end to the cold war? Wait, don't answer that. Just go away.
Photographic evidence gathered from the aftermath of the battle suggests that women and children were killed by horrific burns caused by the white phosphorus shells dropped by US forces. ................................ Photographs obtained by RAI from the Studies Centre of Human Rights in Fallujah, show the bodies of dozens of Fallujah residents whose skin has been dissolved or caramelised by the effects of the phosphorus shells. The use of incendiary weapons against civilian targets is banned by treaty. ................................... The 1980 UN Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons bans the use of weapons such as napalm and white phosphorus against civilian - but not military - targets. The US did not sign the treaty and has continued to use white phosphorus and an updated version of napalm, called Mark 77 firebombs, which use kerosene rather than petrol. A senior US commander previously has confirmed that 510lb napalm bombs had been used in Iraq and said that "the generals love napalm. It has a big psychological effect." Everything from previous link in Rob's post. Please explain for me why USA doesn't sign on treaty for international criminal tribune while every civilized country has signed that treaty. Is this another case of "We don't torture people" BUT "I veto any law that forbids torture"?
Wow, isn't it cool how well gworld does cut and paste? gworld, keep it up, it might be a job skill for you some day.
I agree, I find it quite disturbing as well. That a state run newspaper creates a documentary and it's three experts quoted are: Garrett Reppenhagen - Anti-war activist Jeff Englehart - Anti-war activist Giuliana Sgrena - communist that lied about her escape in Iraq We just learned this week (well, some already knew) about another disgruntled vet who has been lying through his teeth the past year and why the media carelessly bought his story. And yet, here we are again. And being debunked around the net, as usual leaving little for the blame America first crowd to latch onto. Someday, the lying liberal left will actually find someone that will tell the truth AND rightfully blame America first.
gworld wants it to be true so bad, he can taste it! It just has no credibility at all. In other news, more bombings. This time in Jordan. http://www.breitbart.com/news/2005/11/09/D8DP70HO7.html If only the riots in France were done by Christians, it would have given gworld something to talk about
Yeah, there is nothing like being purposely ashamed of ones own country. It's comical, but sad. Very sad actually. One of the things you have to accept in a free society is a high dose of stupidity and ignorance, among other things. That's freedom, freedom from this and freedom from that, but most of all, freedom to be a moron. I still like it here better than any other country I have been in.
That is the reason I don't complain about your postings. I can see that you are fully enjoying your freedom to be a moron. Vidoe of Execution by Apache helicopter in Iraq - From The Geneva Convention 3-1: 1. Persons taking no active part in the hostilities, including members of armed forces who have laid down their arms and those placed hors de combat by sickness, wounds, detention, or any other cause, shall in all circumstances be treated humanely, without any adverse distinction founded on race, colour, religion or faith, sex, birth or wealth, or any other similar criteria Full text of: The Apache Killing Video
What, no head chopper videos? Should have known better, coming from indy media The Geneva Convention might have some ground though! Except you only want/expect one side to follow it. Seen any good French riots lately?
Reading your posts are kinda like watching NASCAR. There is only so long you can watch a bunch of idiots driven in a circle
