Did you get some results you were not expecting or just thought the quiz sucked? I personally didn't like some of the limited questions myself to get an 'overall' basis of anyones view, a bit to short IMO. Got a better one? Call me lame but I like taking them
The evidence they utilized to assert each candidates stance on each issue was flimsy. The issues were poorly worded and poorly defined. For example, I am for tough sentences. However, I am against mandantory minimum sentences, as I feel that they violate the proper seperation of powers as defined by our nations founders. The quiz used an axe where a paring knife is needed. It made me wonder about the political goals of the designers.
Fair enough, there were many areas when reading the definition I could not realy truthfully answer it correctly as it did not match my actual feeling on the subject. Plus being a bit short made it realy hard no matter how well it was done 'not saying it was' to make it truthfully based on what candidate you supported. I felt the results were very suprising to say the least.
A quizz really can't tell you who you're most aligned with. There are too many different factors. I mean it's like saying I'm Poppa Smurf on the what kind of Smurf test are you.
I agree, but sometimes it can show you if you read the why you may not actually support someone. I find them to be trivial, yet helpful at the same time, at least some of them I've taken.
And the latest remarks by Ibrahim al-Jaafari, the Iraqi Prime Minister, are... "Terrorism is terrorism. You cannot separate it by region, or divide it into different parts of the world. Defeating terrorism now will benefit all democracies. Failing to defeat it will put all democracies in peril. It will come back to America as it did on Sept. 11." "It’s understandable that the American people want their children back home," the prime minister said. "But I think and I hope that they understand that the presence of American troops on Iraqi soil is not just for the benefit of Iraq. What the Americans faced on Sept. 11 in New York and Washington, they are now facing in Iraq. There is only one enemy – terrorism – whether it takes place here or America, or London or anywhere in the world."
ha! The US is helping Iraq! Yeah, we're helping them establish an Islamic government. Oh, and we're also helping to provoke a civil war. The Bush administration hopes American troops can maintain peace among Iraqi people and install a western-style democracy. I read something that said there are an estimated 1,000 politically motivated killings each month...and that's just in Baghdad. We're supposed to be the toughest, most powerful nation on Earth. What a debacle!
Meanwhile, the latest rhetoric from gworld's camp comes from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who declared Wednesday that Israel is a "disgraceful blot" that should be "wiped off the map". Ahmadinejad went on to say "Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation's fury." But I'm sure what he meant was "Islam is a religion of peace." As far as I am concerned, this is as good as a formal declaration of war.
Isn't it amazing how little airtime those comments get while every mistake Bush makes gets dragged out endlessly and over-hyped by the media. But hey, we're supposed to be politically correct and overlook those things and just act shocked when more planes fly into high profile buildings on American soil *shaking head in disbelief*
Maybe we as Americans should apologize for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's remark, since everything else seems to be our fault somehow ... right?
I could see myself vote Democrate if they actually nominated someone who had more to offer than just games, lies and rhetoric about the opponent. Would be great to have one who stands for and behind something, so that you can actually decide on merit and not whether you fall for his lies or are smart enough to see thru the fascade.
