Hey, there is nothing wrong with being a Liberal! Be proud. Wear your rainbow on your breast. Have you read Why I am Not a Conservative by Friedrich Hayek?
Funny you mentioned that, for the longest time I though that was what he did in military. Some how his postings always reminds me of Gomer Pyle and I don't know why. But I respect him for it too, at least he is not like Will and Zman just sitting on sideline and hoping others go and die for them.
Nope but I'll read it now. I will admit some of my views are a bit on the left, but many are on the right and most actually in the middle. A 'gasp' moderate. Wow take that back will read tomorrow, read some of it already. Looks like a good read, I like articles that show how the political trend from liberal to conservative, etc has switched focus so to speak back and forth throughout history.
I almost reg'd one in hodgedups honor the other day while grabbing some. monkeystripper.com I think it was
I know it's hard for you to read, but I didn't make post 2385 nor did I write what you quoted. Seems your reading skills evenly match George Bush's speaking skills
No, but I wouldn't be ashamed of it if I did. I enjoy cooking very much and Cooks are a vital role in the military. In my second duty station, in 1985, one of the cooks there was Duncan Hines III, from the infamous cake mix family. I asked him why he joined the military and he said he wanted to serve his company. He could have had the easy life, but chose to serve. In all seven years though, I never peeled a potato[e]. The hardest thing in the military for me was going to Korea and leaving my family behind. My youngest son was just born and three months later, I left for a year without him. Came home for three weeks and off again for another 2-3 months to Recruiting school before I came home. After two enlistments, I got out and went to work for a company that eventually became Macromedia. Serving your country is not a pre-requisite for being patriotic or loving your country. But thanks...I think. Edit: And thanks too, for your kind comments hrb.
No it isn't but some including me will give some automatic respect even if it's not viewed from what I say, it's there. I haven't said it before, but thank you Gtech for serving in our armed forces. Without people serving in our military our country would not be what it is today. And with that, good night.
Oooppss... my bad, that was the other mental defective. If you two really are two different people, I apoligize.
I know how important the food is when you are in military. What year where you in South Korea? My American cousin also served there but he is still in the Army. I don't think being in military is pre-requisite for being patriotic but at least when you call me names, I know that you have done something yourself and not like Zman or Will who just like to pretend that they are tough guys while both of us know very well that a guy like Will will be totally useless in a combat situation and is going to start crying. P.S- Just to make sure that nobody thinks that we are becoming friends, I still think that your ideology is fascism.
Spring of 87 to Spring of 88. Dongduchon, not far from the DMZ. If I were going to combat, I'd want Will, zman, Mike, Debunked and a few others with me. In the military, you tend to learn real quick who will and who will not have your back. You find out real quick who will be the first to cry. And since these pages tend to rank VERY well and there's an off chance that one of my old leaders looks his name up in the search engine: Tony Salas or Antonio Salas if you find this page, register and send a PM to GTech. Might as well make the most of it I've never been offended by any of the names you've called me. The kkk stuff was funny, since my best friend is hispanic and second best friend is black. It's all good though
Funny I HAD to serve in the military, that usually makes people hate the military in general. I might now know the silly side and stories of being a national serviceman, but that makes me appreciate even more the pros and that system of voluntary service and the modern military in general.
