Americans, in general, do not believe that we are better.

We believe that we have done things that are good because we were willing to do them -- when other people were not.

We believe that we will continue to do things which are good -- even though other people are not willing to do so.

We believe that anyone from any other country should be able to come to America and join our happy little two hundred year old revolution.

People become better when they decide to be better.

Live to a higher standard.

 

DA, I dont know anyone who thinks they are better. We just feel that the world around us does not appreciate what we do.

And to further that thought, even though we feel like the world around us does not appreciate our help, we still continue to do so.

And on many many occasions the US has helped people in many many countries and continues to do so daily.

But as far as a lack of appreciation.. It is the exact flipside. Lots of damage is being done too.

Do you really think that the rest of the world doesnt 'appreciate' what is done or do you think where the US is doing good people are saying "thanks" and where they are causing harm people are saying "damn them" - seems like a logical and natural reaction to me.

 

Especially the ones that unwillingly paid with their lives.
