    McAfee nailed some spyware for me the other day. I don't think anyone should have an internet connection without having some kind of anti-virus / anti-spyware software.

    It is indeed. When Norton becone a huge resource hog, I switched to AVG. However, the latest versions have emulated Norton and become huge and cumbersome. Interestingly, the trade magazine reviews for AVG began to slide around the same time.

    I switched to Avast and it has been excellent. Another highly rated one is Avira, which I haven't tried.
