Anti Dd0s Protection for Windows 2003 server

Hello

Is there anyway to protect from a D0s or Dd0s in a Windows 2003 server?

I am looking for software most and hardware solutions also.

For basic udp ack ..... attacks.

Or a way to limit a ip to 40 connections and then ban it...

There are tons of articles on hardening the stack in Windows Server 2003 that provide limited protection from DOS attacks, but for true DDOS protection you will need the help of your upstream providers.
