The Spirit of God is refered to as a sword also. Read the context also, and follow all of Christ's words. The only other time I can think of where he talks about swords and means a literal sword is when he tells the disiples to have one for protection, because they will have enemies. He never tells them to strike anyone, in fact he tells Peter to put away his sword after striking a servant of the pharisee when they came to take Jesus by force.

Jesus refers to the battles we have as NOT being of flesh and blood but a spiritual battle.

According to most western countries law if you have sex with a girl who is 14 years and 364 days, you have raped her but if she is 15 years old you haven't and doesn't matter if you are young or 80 years old. - I may be wrong about the exact age -

The intersting part is that if you did it 30-40 years ago it wasn't called rape and people don't call you a rappist now. So based on the law Muhammad is not rappist because he did whatever he did 1500 years ago.

So in a sense both parties are right.

I suggest instead of trying to justify everything Muhammad did, try to persuade people that what he did wasn't wrong for his time although it is certainly wrong now.

But to prove your hounesty you need to accept that some verses of Koran may be only suitable for that time and not now otherwise nobody would believe you.
