You're right. Once I asked him about terrorism in the south of Thailand he answered with, its just propaganda.
Telling him all the nations which were none islamic before the forceful takeover his comment was, that's history.

My sister-in-law learned arabic in the Air Force (probably before that too) but she is as white as they come, white skinned, very blonde hair, etc...

Did I mention she is in the air force? and my little brother (the husband) is too and he speaks Chinese. So I wonder what she knows about what is really said behind the walls?? hmmm...... I will have to wait a few years to be able to find out though....

You might want to do a little reseach before you use such big words:

"A bigot is a prejudiced person who is intolerant of any opinions differing from their own.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bigot"

It's fairly obvious who here is intolerant of any opinions differing from their own.

If they did they would have to kill me... or something like that. (the air force has many positions that are secretive and where they are not allowed to discuss the nature of their jobs, so I have to wait.)

I talk with them sometimes on IM but they now live on the other side of the country. They will probably move back in a few years, if they don't re-inlist after their time is up.

Isn't it also hilarious that the person who keeps screaming "STFU" at people is calling others rude.

Now that's comedy; you just can't make this stuff up!

Hey you guys I have got something funny for you. This is your comedy relief minute:) I found this article entitled,

"'Hug a Hezbollah' campaign fails to get off the ground"

"I think what both sides in this crisis really need is more love," a newly-long-haired Mr Cameron told reporters from his squat in Notting Hill, with the Beatles' 'All You Need Is Love' playing in the background. "They're not trying to be nasty, they just want to blend in."...

Can find the whole article at:
http://www.deadbrain.co.uk/news/article_2006_07_16_1605.php

Wasn't sure if I should post it, but I just thought it was kind of cute. Take care everyone...

I am only "intolerant" of opinions opposed to what is Islam is all about, the polemics and the lies about it. Critically analysing Islam is different from hurling stereotypes about it.

I'd be surprised if you were intolerant of opinions that you agree with.

Perhaps you're not familiar with tolerance because it's not taught in the Koran.

Here's a definition from M-W.com:
Note that I am not actually asking you to allow anything -- because I don't need your permission. That's part of being an American. We don't need permission from anyone for our beliefs.

You're also not a moderator here on DigitalPoint, so your screaming "STFU" at civilized people isn't going to do you any good.

Perhaps you can find an Al Qaeda recruiter. Then you can punish the infidels for their damnable freedom of thought!

Well there is a difference between tolerating and accepting different opinions, and tolerating rudeness and plain bigotry. In fact I think it is a somewhat inherent disease here that people tend to think that Muslims are neccessarily (a) an al-Qaeda operative, (b) a terrorist, (c) a bomber.

Well, let me inform you that I am neither of these. The only "weapons" I have are my vast amount of books on IT and comparative religions. The only "bombs" I have are the computer codes that I deal with every day. I am a freelance web developer, not a terrorist. So you should try to be more accomodative of other people's opinions and not resort to petty stereotyping as per the silly comment below:

I guess you are too obtuse to understand that there are people (MUSLIMS, I might add) in the Muslim World who are working in the ICT sector for a living and hate Al-Qaeda as much as they hate bigoted people like you. I pity your childish mentality and moronic outlook on the life of Muslims.

And if you call such comments "civilised", then obviously you have not joined civilisation.

menj1980:

By the intolerance of your comments, you have shown yourself to be cut from the same cloth as any other Islamist fanatic.

If ever you show yourself to be morally or intellectually improved, I am sure that everyone here will note the change.

Until that time, you continue to show yourself to be nothing but a person who shares the same beliefs as any other Islamist terrorist -- without having the dedication to be willing to act on your beliefs.

It's not us who are stereotyping you -- it is you yourself who is doing the damage.

So true. In general every muslim is an al-qaeda operative meaning a terrorist as well as a bomber.

William: Not every muslim is a terrorist. Ramadan Mubarik! ;)

While I am able to count many Muslims as friends, co-workers, clients, and vendors -- I am unable to seperate Menji from the likes of Osama bin Laden.

Let us remember that many of the Bali bombers were from Malaysia and that at least one of them was a "computer expert" like Menji.

It doesn't matter where you are from or what you do -- if you're an Islamist you're an Islamist. If you believe that Islam must overthrow all competing religions and dominate the globe, you are a danger to your fellow humans.

Not every Muslim is an Islamist -- but Menji is clearly an Islamist.

Well that is simply pure nonsense! I have stated my adversion to Al-Qaeda and I have shown no hesitation in doing so. I have denounced practices which I deem un-Islamic and have not hesitated in doing show. How does this prove that I am "cut from the same cloth as any other Islamist fanatic" sure beats the hell out of me.

I will show no tolerance to foolhardiness and stereotyping of my religion, and that will not change.
