    1. tell me what is the limit of character and word for title, desc, keyword in yahoo, msn, google.
    2.how much time we can mention the one keyword in overall one page, and where i can mention
    3.what is SERP
    4.site map creation is mandatory or not, if we dont create site map. then it will effect in our webisite or not
    5.w3c validation should we do or not
    6.a single page , for how many keyword should we optimize, like index page, and inner page
    7 robots.txt is mandatory or not

    1. 60 for title, 170 for description.
    2. Mention the keyword as many times as it takes to stop making sense then delete a few.
    3. Search engine results page
    4. Site map is not mandatory but its a good idea
    5. It takes 5 seconds so you may as well
    6. 3 main keywords per page but think of long tail queries as well
    7. Not mandatory but you should create a blank one to avoid 404 errors in your logs.

    But the description shows less than 170 characters in google in the results page?

    The Meta Description isn't always listed by search engines.
    Sometimes they use part of it, and part of the text from your page that they deem to be relvant for the search query.
    Also - MSN are more likely to use a longer description.
    Remember - you are catering for at least 3 search engines - not just Google.
    Make sure that you have a small descriptive sentence towards the start of your Meta Description, then add some more text to describe your site. That way you'll be making the best use of descriptions in search results from all search engines.
