    Is there any other sites like Alexa that value the site and gives ratings and rankings for sites

    As Alexa is said to no to to be accurate as it depends on the Alexa toolbar

    Check out compete.com, they are a little better but only for US traffic.

    For high traffic site (top 100K) Alexa actually is probably the best out there.

    you can't rely on sites like compete or alexa...the stats provided by them isn't accurate

    Yes alexa has few problems but still many people follow it . Compete is also an option but personally Alexa is better.

    Compete.com & Quantcast, as far as I know.

    But no traffic ranking system is entirely accurate. There are problems with each
    and every one of them.

    We are not able to rely on only 1 site ranking engine. We cannot get the accurate visitors from the site ranking engine as well. So, better refers to more than 1 ranking engine and take the estimation at ourselves. Personally use Alexa.com and Compete.com at the same time.

    I myself got alexa toolbar installed, and I actually take decisions depending on that results, ver close to be accurate in my opinion.

    Alexa is not accurate enough , but its a good one i have to accept , try complete.com , their ranking system is somewhat closer to alexa , more or less they have same accuracy level.

    What type of ranking are you looking for?
    Don't get offended but don't depend on such tools. If you want to monitor progress on your site then set a goal.
    Like for example you want to rank for a certain keyword and be on top of SERP, then the best thing to monitor that is to manually check your ranking on SERP. On the other hand, if you want to improve your site traffic then set a goal or a number of traffic you want to achieve within a month. Don't depend on tools, set goals and do your work. That's the way to improve whatever it is you aim for your site.
