Another Scammer : [Dontoon] .....beware!

Ahh The whole VCC thing is new to me, so sorry about that. scratch that idea. I guess your right just have to be extra vigilant with trading on here atm.

Yea, I was not that familiar with it until I started at DP. I think it is the worst thing to hit the Internet, it allows scammers to get away with so much because they are using these things. It is one of the downfalls of Paypal because people who should not be using Paypal use these and than can scam other people and Paypal has no way to get the money back.

 

hopefully that will warn people.

 

I hope that the Mods will ban him .
But instead of that he can register with another account .
so the "Multi-accounts detector Plugin" . is a must for this forum . because we see many returns of some scammers .

 

u can just match IP's to tell if they have more then 1 account in VBulletin admincp.

 

But this is not enought , if the member has 0 posts , the search sytem will not work .becase it dont include the registration IP ;
but with the developped VB product it can detect Ips with more precision ;

 

well if u get a scammers IP just do a complete Ip range ban from your site.

Also, what do I do? I put up a direct claim. Hey trocobob we will ask the board moderators to give us the IP and we will forward to PayPal

Also, that ass lives in my same country (India), I will chases him down and kill him.

trocobob, please help me out by helping yourself and do PM a mod and ask him for the IP and do mention my username to the mod if you need to prove more than 1 person has been scammed.

 

why do people have to scam. Its easy to make money the fair way if you try.

 

I make twice as much as I lost in a day, but yet it pains my heart to loose that much money.

It would have been better if I donated to DP's fund raising or something of that kind... rather than to the scammer [angry like hell]

This is very sad news. Scammers are using DP for their activities. While it is true that a good iTrader will give you a safety zone, have some time to check if they have dealt such transaction you are planning to do so before. It is also very disturbing that some DP members do transact businesses with less iTrader people only to boost their iTrades by paying $3 and commenting 'Nice service A+'

 

itrader is like ebay's feedback system it doesn't matter what the product is, as long as u get what u payed for.

 

Did you paid by paypal , i reported him to Paypal for fraud , it seems that they limited his account . Now i wont his Egold account to report him ..again ..
we should contact the Mods to have his IP

it seems that he is a thief ,..

 

I have reported him to PayPal. I called over phone and asked PayPal if they could help me out quicker. They said, I have to wait for 10 days before any action is taken on the user.

 

anyway the member Dontoon is now Banned .

but the possibilities of returning with new tricks and ideas are big .
so lets be careful next time .

It is generally a wide spread money based gimmicks are growing day by day.
Why the software people not being able to stop this nonsense to keep the innocents away. If neeed I can give idea.

 

Anyone who makes one scam should automatically be banned from selling stuff on DP forever
