Apologies for posting again and probably coming across as if I should do more research before I do post but I keep on learning things. Can someone who knows what they are talking about please comment on this method of researching keywords and assessing competition: you go to google.com You can do a separe search for : intext:"yourwordhere", inanchor:"yourworldhere", intitle:"yourwordhere" yes, but I have learnt that a more effective assessment is to do this : all on one line in the search bar you type: intext:"yourwordhere" intitle:"yourwordhere" inanchor:"yourwordhere" this tells you then how many other indexed pages on the web contain that EXACT MATCH keyword in their title, their page text and their anchor text (which can be internal anchor text as well as inbound links) Well according to this search method , quite a few of my keyword phrases have returned results that are VERY VERY low : 2 so far have returned NO results . I am in a highly competetive industry,(psychic readings etc) and when i first began my research, this is what i found: a search on a free k/w research tool told me that the exact phrase "psychic reading" was searched for a massive 139,817 times in one month. I then noted google had indexed a whopping 1.3 million web pages containing this phrase. Oh dear, I thought- no chance for me then. BUT when I did the search outlined above, i dicovered that actually only 11,000 sites have fully optimized their site for that exact phrase In some cases some highly searched keyword phrases have returned results of 300 or less - which apparantly tells me that i have only 300 site pages to compete with in terms of the phrase being FULLY optimized ?? Ok, I know that going ahead and optimizing my site for these "shining star" keywords is not going to get me to page one of google in the blink of an eye, but surely this would give me an edge ? If one was to aim for being at the TOP of that list of 300 site pages for a particular search term then that would boost rankings ? Is this correct ? is this search "formula" better than taking the statistics for "indexed pages" as a stand-alone measurement for how good ones keywords are likely to perform ? Can anyone elaborate on this particular method of researching your keywords and trying to decide which ones to optimize each site page for ? thanks
How can we know that this much of sites have optimize and pages indexed by google can u tell me about this
hi I'm not really sure i understand your question, and i thought i had explained how it works...i would say to you that the best place for a more indepth understanding of this whole mthod would be for you to do a search for articles about it, rather than have me (novice) try to properly explain it to you....just type the following into your google search bar and then have a look at what pops up: intext intitle inanchor keyword competition or intext intitle inanchor optimization etc this is how i founds lots of articles about it Using this method i have been able to find out how many web pages are FULLY optimized for the word/phrase i searched i then noted the names of the first 3-4 websites on that page then i do a NORMAL google search simply typing in that word/phrase and without fail, those 3-4 website names also appear in normal search , usually on the first page of results or p2-3 in 9 times out of 10 this tells me there is a direct correlation, so... when you do the investigative search for each and every one of your keyowords, explained in my first post, you will find that for some words you will have thousands of results, indicating you are competing against thousands of other people optimizing their page for that same word but sometimes you will find there are NONE or not very many at all, and so if you go ahead and optimize for that keyword you will have a clearer route to ranking higher and faster for it of course other factors will have to be in place too- such as lots of backlinks to your site. you wont suddenly be on page one of normal searches simply for optimizing your web page better than anyone else for a keyword that has high traffic but little competition.... using this method i am compling a list of keywords worth using, and then i will pick apart the websites that are my direct competition to see how they have optimized on-page for that word...and see what i am up against hope this helps a bit but do find proper artices about it-they can explain alot better than me and in more depth
