Another question about BUY / SELL category ...

I would like to offer a webhosting / web development product in the BUY / SELL section. I am an affiliate for the company that sells this product.

Can I make such an offer in the BUY / SELL section? I mean is it ok to promote affiliate products like that?

(The product is excellent and I have no doubts promoting it, and am ready to offer it to the members)

I have already made a mistake with the BUY / SELL section and don't want to make it again.

Thank you very much for your help.

The thing to watch out for is affiliate links are not allowed in messages. See FAQ.

    Hi Smyrl,

Thank you very much for that. I have just looked it up in the FAQ, it says:

Don't spam the forum with things like:

    * Affiliate links (they are allowed in signatures though)

What I want to do is offer a genuine product (wbehosting + software + extensive knowledge base) which I think many people in this forum may benefit from, and am not planning to spam the forum with tons of messages about that.

It would be really good to get an opportunity to present a genuine real product.

I understand why the mods want to limit affiliate promotions on the forum. It's a shame though if it is going to affect genuine affiliate programs like mine.

Would it be possible for any moderator to give me a (more or less) answer to this question please ...

    I would really appreciate that.

    Thanks in advance.

    Irina

How about you present what you have and add a little note to your message something like
    *Click my signature link
    or
*I would appreciate if you sign up using affiliate link in my signature

I dont think you will lose a potential customer that way. I dont think anyone mind signing up with affiliate link if they like it :)

Jaree, thank you very much for your advice.

It looks very reasonable and maybe I will give it a try ...

    Thanks once again.

If it's affiliate, no... not allowed.
