I initiate a chargeback with PayPal on basis of Non-receipt! I get this email, After 10 days, I get this email AM phuked .....and I wanna kill someone ... Once again sorry for bugging ya all... Abhishek
I have been burnt by Paypal a few times. They maintain that they are simply a middleman that that since the goods never come through their doors, they can't be charged back when a transaction goes bad. You can contact your bank and file a fraud report and you might get your money back. Don't tell them about PayPal finding in your favor, or the bank will want to wait and see what PayPal does. Also, it is important to note that if you do get your money back, PayPal may close your account unless you fund it again with the $1000.
Hmmm... Guess you people are right! a 1000 bucks aint everything for me ... but still... thas a considerable amount! Abhishek
paypal as a middleman has nothing to do with when we got scam ?? wtf to be a middleman like that ?? wtf is kind of business like that??
Correct. He got scammed by the scammer, not PayPal. What do you expect them to do? It says in their reply they tried to recover the funds, but couldn't. After that there is nothing that could be done.
What to Do Next ----------------------------------- This case is now closed. No further action is required by you at this time. WTF?? At least they should consult victim where to head up next !
Uhh................so say you get robbed on the street, do you sue the street for being there and enabling the transaction?
Do that street offering a service and charge for it ?? Do it also have a signature and promise me with their sweet words that it has the protection to walk on that street ??
Yup, that's happened to me about 15 times. PayPal's very bad with disputes: they give time to the scammer to pick up their funds and leave their service basically. I'd suggest using another payment processor for such large funding if I were you. PayPal is good for small payments, but use an escrow service or something safe when dealing with large amounts.
Dude WTF? This guy said, I'll exchange paypal money for e-gold or whatever So first this did 100 bucks - mistake Then they did 450 bucks - bigger mistake then 1000 bucks - even bigger mistake, maybe the scammer felt bad? got bored?
sucks that you got scammed, PayPal is unreliable when it comes to things like this, but heck, it's not entirely their fault
oh man thats bad 1k$ lost. but there is no other legal payment processor available for us. How about MoneyBooker is that legal transfer?
