OK so long story short, had a premier paypal account sold goods to someone, they received and ended up putting in a claim so my account is frozen and has been for 3 months now..so my question is if i set up a new account under a different name and credit card number but is still the same address will paypal reconize that and put a lock on it aswell?
As long as you are verifying the name as a different individual, there should not be any problem. There can be obviously several people residing at a single place and paypal can not club all of them together to be a single individual. Regards, RightMan
I do not think Paypal would freeze your new account because there could be other people living at the same address as you.
You should contact PayPal to sort out any problems since you say that your account has been frozen for such a length of time so they can fix it, unless you have done something to which prevents your account from being reinstated. The common consensus in this thread is that there may be others in a household and PayPal won't prevent others from using its service. While that may be true to a point, if they were to recognize patterns or determine that the "new" account may not truly be legitimate, you can almost kiss your PayPal days over.
I will not be a problem at all to register with a totally different name if you can verify those new details.
Wy create a new account? surely you have SOME evidence that the purchased goods ARE in the hands of the client, if so you can simply proove it and have that particular paypal customer be banned or at least tagged as untrustworthy. If you do not have such evidence, then you can wait for another 90 days (until you are fully 180) or have that person write a disclaimer letter. I in that letter, he/she has simply to state that the merchandise arrived and that he/she is satisfied with it. There is no need to state anything else, but if necesary it can always be stated that the mail took too long to deliver. and your account will be unfrozen.
